It's been a tough year so far. Everyone is feeling the pinch. This is having a knock-on effect on sales for us, and many other small businesses.
Despite this, we are hanging in there. We are hoping to ride this out. With every fall comes a climb. I'm hoping after this recession will come a needed boost to the economy, higher wages and lower bills. I know this seems like a fantasy but I'm sure our current government are going to realise the country needs a change. People can't continue this way.
And once those changes come, Starlight will still be here.
In the meantime, my husband and I have a new small business to focus on. An independent coffee shop based in our hometown, Widnes.
Although I'll be working there, it's not a full time job for me. I am still scheduling myself time to work on Starlight. I just need that extra income to keep me ticking over. The shop will give me a steady wage and the flexibility to continue Starlight.
